Bread with homemade hummus and turmeric marinade

Humus:

  • 3 dl. chickpeas
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ dl. oli ofve oil
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper

Cook the chickpeas accordingly to the instructions on the packaging. Once the chickpeas are cool put all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend it. Add more lemon juice or water if you want a more creamy humus. Add salt and pepper

Marinade:

  • Olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • Black pepper, freshly ground

Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the garlic and onions sauté until they are shiny. Then stir turmeric and pepper in. Sauté for a few minutes. Spread the marinade and hummus on a piece of bread.

Heart disease has been the most common killer in Denmark through many years. However recent statistics from Sundhedsstyrelsen show, that cancer is the disease that claims most victims at this point in time.

Use tumeric in your food - add 1 tbsp. in your food every day. Bioavailability increases if tumeric is eaten with black pepper.
